JUDGE #1 FROM AUSTRALIA – Jack Murphy | freelance writer and photographer.
He works for Trailer Boat and Trade A Boat whilst regularly contributes to Modern Fishing and Camper Trailer Australia. Jack’s based in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and primarily fishes Pittwater and it’s surroundings for big angry kingies. His passions are fishing, photography and travel. Jack says his love of photography stemmed from his fishing addiction, “Fish are fascinating creatures – with such an array of amazing coloration, they could put a full box of Derwent’s to shame! I love capturing their colors behind the lens; rainbow trout have ruby red cheeks and olive green bodies, mahi-mahi are an electric yellow, with green backs and fluoro blue spots. But by the time they’re sitting in the fish shop, they’re a dull grey. Capturing this moment and releasing the fish unharmed is what I live for”.
